Are ChatGPT ads available in Europe?
Yes. Since August 24, 2026, ChatGPT ads have been shown in 31 European countries to users on the free and Go plans. Plus, Pro and business subscribers don't see ads.
What do ChatGPT ads look like?
It's a clearly labeled sponsored card below ChatGPT's answer with a headline, short description, image and link. It appears when the conversation topic matches the ad's targeting. According to OpenAI, ads don't influence the answer itself.
When are ads not shown?
OpenAI doesn't show ads to users it knows or believes are under 18, or in sensitive and regulated topics such as health, mental health or politics. Conversations aren't shared with advertisers.
Is it worth it right now?
Few companies are there yet, so ads tend to be cheaper. We recommend starting with a smaller budget, tracking results and comparing them with Google and Facebook. Scale only once it works.
